September 25: RHEINFELS CASTLE
Arrive today (or earlier) at Frankfurt International Airport and transfer this afternoon to the beautiful Rhine River for check-in at our castle hotel, Schloss & Villa Rheinfels. Enjoy some free time this afternoon before we meet for cocktails in the castle bar. After taking in the sunset over the river, we will head into the castle restaurant for our 3-course Welcome Dinner. After dinner, it's time to party - and we'll do it in style with the lights of the villages along the river below twinkling in the distance. Overnight Sankt Goar am Rhein. (D)

September 26: RHINE RIVER / FRANKFURT
Wonderful Breakfast buffet this morning. Next, we will transfer to Boppard on the Rhein River and board our boat for a 1.5 hour River Cruise past the famous Loreley to St. Goar. Weather permitting, this section of the river boasts some of the most impressive views of Rhine castles, vineyards and more and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once we arrive in Sankt Goar, we will have a private Wine and Brandy Tasting. Lunch. After that, you can shop 'till you drop in the village of St. Goar, relax in one of the many wine-pubs, or have a beer in a charming little Gasthaus. This afternoon, we continue our adventure into Frankfurt. Arrive at our hotel for check-in and dinner on your own before we explore Sachsenhausen tonight. Overnight Frankfurt am Main. (B)

September 27: FRANKFURT
Breakfast. This is it - today we will enjoy a full day of touring our old stomping grounds in Frankfurt on the Main River; with stops at as many sites as possible, including the area of the former Abrams Complex, the Abrams Building ("Farben" Building), and Terrace Club. Lunch. Special Guided Tour of our old Frankfurt American High School (now a German Professional School). This afternoon we will continue our amazing time in Frankfurt with more sites in town before heading back to our hotel for some free time. Tonight we enjoy our FAHS Reunion Dinner and Dance. Let's party, Eagles! Overnight Frankfurt am Main. (B, D)

September 28: ROTHENBURG 
Breakfast and check out of our Frankfurt hotel this morning. We continue our journey from Frankfurt, south into Bavaria with a scenic drive to the medieval city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber on the Romantic Road. Lunch. Guided Tour of Rothenburg Old Town and free time for shopping or visiting the medieval Museum of Crime and Punishment. Continue to the charming village of Füssen at the foot of the Bavarian Alps. Late afternoon arrival and check in at our traditional Bavarian country-style hotel. Special Medieval Feast dinner tonight for our group in the Old Town of Füssen. Overnight Füssen. (B, D)

September 29: NEUSCHWANSTEIN
Breakfast and hotel check-out this morning. Transfer to Schwangau and either walk, enjoy the carriage ride, or take the mountain bus up to the entrance of the castle. Guided Tour of the enchanting Neuschwanstein Castle. Undoubtedly the most famous castle in the world, Neuschwanstein was commissioned by Bavarian King Ludwig II in the middle of the 19th Century. Return to Schwangau for lunch. Enjoy a photo stop this afternoon at the beautiful Ettal Monastery on our way east through the mountains. Continue along a portion of the scenic and historical German Alpine Road to the resort village of Berchtesgaden in the Bavarian Alps, near the Austrian border. Hotel check-in and dinner at the hotel tonight. Overnight Berchtesgaden. (B, D)

September 30: THE EAGLE'S NEST 
Breakfast. This morning we will have a scenic drive up to the Obersalzberg mountain and then we will catch the specially-equipped mountain buses that take us 4,000 feet in elevation up to the infamous "Eagle's Nest" (historical mountaintop restaurant with fantastic views of the surrounding alpine countryside). Optional visit to the Obersalzberg Eagle Preserve - where you can witness living birds of prey up close! Continue back down to Berchtesgaden town center for free time the rest of this afternoon and evening to explore the old town. Dinner on your own tonight. Overnight Berchtesgaden. (B, L)

October 1: BERCHTESGADEN / MUNICH
Breakfast. Morning at leisure, with time to wander the charming old town of Berchtesgaden, or just relax and enjoy a later breakfast. For those who want to, we will offer a morning visit to the local Enzian Schnapps Distillery for some free tasting (optional). Nothing like some good schnapps in the morning! Continue with lunch en route to the Autobahn and make our way north towards Munich, where we will be for our last two nights of the trip. Late afternoon arrival in Munich and check-in at our hotel. Dinner on your own tonight in Munich. Visit the Oktoberfest on your own tonight, if you wish - or save yourself for our final night. Overnight Munich. (B)

October 2: MUNICH OKTOBERFEST
Breakfast. This morning we enjoy a City Sightseeing Tour of Munich; the Capital of Bavaria. We will show you as many of the architectural and historical highlights of this wonderful city, including a visit to the beautiful Marienplatz Square in the old town where you will see the famous Glockenspiel (Bell Tower). Lunch. Afternoon orientation and visit to Munich Oktoberfest: the world-famous beer festival. Dinner and optional further free time at Oktoberfest. Overnight Munich. (B)
