When is it, and how does it work?

To offer everyone more options, the Eagles in Germany Reunion Tour will be divided into two parts: the "Reunion" (3 nights, from September 25 - 28, 2020) and the "Tour" (an additional 5 nights, from September 28 - October 3, 2020). The Reunion part in Frankfurt and Rhine River can be booked alone, or combined with the Tour - but the Tour cannot be booked by itself. What does the Reunion Tour cost include?

The cost includes pretty much everything but your flight. Accommodation in first-class Hotels, comfortable transportation and airport transfers, most meals, entrance fees (per program), sightseeing and guiding services, and all local taxes and fees. We are handling the booking of rooms for several reasons; ultimately saving you both time and money with our long-time contracts and relationship with these wonderful properties (like Rheinfels Castle, where we will spend our first night). We also want everyone to be together. If you already live in Frankfurt and just want to attend the events with us, please contact us so that we can work out an arrangement. Please note the rates are based on Double Occupancy (two people in a shared room). A limited number of Single Rooms will be available for a supplement of USD $120 (Reunion) and USD $185 (Tour) and must be booked in advance. The 2020 Reunion Tour is full. Can we still go?

This is the first trip of its kind, and when registration opened for the FAHS Eagles in Germany Reunion Tour, it filled up in less than a week. Although we are happy about the size of the group and the opportunity to operate this incredible Tour, we must limit the event to 50 participants. This is primarily because of the capacity of our motor coach. We are adding names to a "Wait List" in case of cancellations. As the FAHS Eagles in Germany 2020 Reunion Tour is still over a year away, if you are interested in attending this event please complete the form below and we will add you to the list in case someone drops out - and a deposit is not required to get on the list. What about Flights? How do I get there?

Your roundtrip airfare is not included in the Reunion cost. Plan to arrive at Frankfurt (FRA) International Airport no later than 11:00 am (CET) on the morning of September 25, 2020. Your return flight home should be from Munich (MUC) Airport no earlier than October 3, 2020 (try to plan for a departure no earlier than 09:00 am) -- IF you are going on the complete Reunion Tour. (If you are just planning on attending only the Reunion in Frankfurt and Rhine River, please plan your arrival as outlined above and your departure from Frankfurt no earlier than 9:00 am on Sept. 28, 2020). Feel free to contact us for more information. As for booking your flights, we encourage you to make the most of your trip to Europe and come early, stay longer, and/or combine this experience further travels in Europe. Our group Meeting Point at Frankfurt Airport will be provided once you have booked the trip. For security reasons we do not post this information on our website. This event is being organized by Tony Cisneros (Class of '87); Owner and Operator or Alpventures® Tours, based in Portland, Oregon. For over 20 years, Tony has developed, planned, and conducted Guided Tours all over Europe for thousands of travelers. How do I know who is attending?

Good question! We have set-up a FAHS Eagles in Germany Reunion - Facebook Group page for this purpose, and we have a wait list (for possible cancellations) posted on this website. Please visit our "Booking" page if you would like to get on the wait list. Everyone booked on the trip will receive a list of attendees. We are also looking into running another Reunion Tour in summer or fall 2021. We encourage you to share our website and Facebook page to your classmates and family... The more, the merrier, right?

What if I have to cancel my spot?

Of course things come up; situations can change. Although an event cancellation is not anticipated, Alpventures® reserves the right to cancel the event for any reason, prior to departure date, in which case your entire payment will be refunded without further obligation on Alpventures® part. Your initial deposit is 100% fully refundable up to 60 days prior to the event departure date. After that time, Alpventures® will be bound by law to pay the hotels a cancellation fee for any unused rooms. In the case of Tour Participant cancellation, a full refund will be granted up to 60 days prior to Tour departure. A cancellation fee of 10% of the event price will be charged for cancellations between 60 and 30 days prior to departure date and 50% between 30 and 10 days prior to departure. Unfortunately, no refunds will be honored within 10 days of event departure date. That said, we strongly recommend purchasing Travel Insurance to protect your investment on this trip. Can I come early or stay longer?

It's not everyday you go to Europe - we encourage you to make the most of your trip to Europe and come early, stay longer, and/or combine this experience further travels in Europe. Our Meeting Point at Frankfurt Airport will be provided once you have booked the trip. For security reasons we do not post this information on our website.

What if I already live in Germany?

If you live in Germany (or elsewhere in Europe), obviously, you would save on the flights. If you already live in Frankfurt and just want to attend the events with us, please contact us so that we can work out an arrangement.

What happens once we register for the trip?

You get very happy, because you are going to have an incredible time in Germany! After paying your deposit, you will get a confirmation letter from us in a few days. The letter confirms your spot on the trip, includes a receipt for your initial payment, and also contains important information about meeting the group at Frankfurt airport at the beginning of the trip. These details will help you when planning and booking your flights to Germany, which is your next step. Also, we strongly recommend buying travel insurance within 14 days of booking your flight. The final balance will be due 90 days prior to tour departure, at which time you will also receive a Travel Packet from us that will contain helpful pre-tour information and materials.

On this incredible adventure to Germany, we will have the opportunity to visit the Obersalzberg Eagle Preserve (near Berchtesgaden in the Alps). Observe live birds of prey like Eagles and Hawks up close, and even pose with the birds for selfies!
